James is a highly experienced individual in the wine industry with over 25 years of experience and a proven track record of producing over 200 wines that have received 90+ points in major wine publications. James has been recognized with numerous accolades, including being featured on the cover of Wine Spectator in December 2006 and making the Wine Spectator Top 100 list in 2017 and Wine Enthusiast Top 100 list in 2018. James has a passion for sustainability and works with winegrowers who share the same values. He enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his family, and has made wine from several regions in California, including Oregon, Anderson Valley, Santa Barbara, Green Valley, Russian River Valley, and Sonoma Coast.
Kerry Forbes-MacPhail

Meet Kerry, the moving force behind the scenes at the winery! She's the go-to for all things operational, and her kind and perpetually smiling personality make her the perfect person to have on your side. With years of experience in the wine industry's service sector, Kerry brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. Outside of work Kerry knows how to have fun and stay active, whether it's hitting the gym, exploring new destinations, or spending quality time with her family, Austin Powers and (of course!) Roxy. If you need anything, just give her a shout – she's always happy to help!
David Sailer
Director of Custom Crush Operations
As the Director of Custom Crush Operations at Grapewagon Custom Crush David is responsible for overseeing all aspects of custom crush winemaking, from grape receiving and sorting to fermentation and aging. David’s role includes managing the team of cellar workers, as well as coordinating with clients to ensure their wine is made to their exact specifications. David is an experienced winemaker with a demonstrated history of working in the winegrowing industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
